Meet the dentist, the playful way.

Novi the Superbrusher visits daycares and schools in the neighbourhood, teaching children to brush, floss and chase away the plaque monsters. Beat them once and you are a superbrusher from then on — a small moment that can build years of trust in dental care.

What happens during a visit?

A visit lasts 45 to 60 minutes and fits within the group's daily rhythm. We start with the story of the plaque monsters, then brush and floss her big set of teeth together, and finish with a moment where every child does it themselves. By the end the whole group is a superbrusher — calm, in small groups, no queueing.

What we bring

Novi, a large demonstration set of teeth, floss sticks, a toothbrush for every child, and a brushing poster for the washroom.

What we ask

A quiet room with space for a circle, a tap nearby, and one member of staff who knows the group.

Age group 2-7

From the youngest toddler group up to and including year 2. Groups of up to 24 children; larger groups we split.

Free of charge

A visit is free of charge for locations in Rotterdam-West. No obligation, no sign-up.

A dentist your child looks forward to visiting

Novus Dental is a small practice on Lloydstraat where dental care feels like self-care. Calm rooms, generous time per patient, materials we choose deliberately. For children that mostly means: nothing is required, everything happens at their own pace.
Benefit 1
Meeting without treatment
The first visit is about looking and settling in. The chair goes up, the light comes on, Novi brushes along — and nothing else happens.
Benefit 2
Fully covered until age 18
Children's dental care is covered by Dutch basic insurance. No excess, no bill afterwards.
Benefit 3
In the neighbourhood, by bike
Lloydstraat 27, between Delfshaven and the Lloydkwartier. Cargo bike at the door, no hunting for parking.
Benefit 4
Conscious care for generations
Sustainable materials, and prevention over intervention. A child who learns to floss at five still has it at fifty.

Everything you want to know about Novi

What does a Novi visit cost?
Nothing. We see it as part of preventive care in the neighbourhood. Nothing is expected in return, and we do not collect any data about the children.
What age group is Novi suitable for?
For children aged 2 to 7. For the youngest groups we keep it shorter and stay closer to the story; from year 1 onwards we brush along in more detail.
How long does a visit take?
45 to 60 minutes, including setting up and clearing away. We match the time to the group's rhythm — usually in the morning.
Do parents need to be there?
No, the visit runs with the group's regular staff. Parents receive a short leaflet at home afterwards explaining what was done and how to carry on brushing at home.
We are not in Rotterdam-West. Does Novi still visit?
Often yes, depending on the distance and our agenda. Send a request with your address and we will let you know what is possible.
Can our child become a patient at Novus after the visit?
Yes, we are accepting new children. Registering is entirely optional and never follows automatically from a Novi visit.
